Tulip Tours

This beautiful cycling and sailing holiday that starts and ends in Amsterdam takes you through the provinces of South and North Holland while the spring flowers are in bloom. You will visit the historic cities of Haarlem, Leiden, Gouda and Alkmaar and learn about the water management of the areas on the North Sea. You will also visit the famous Keukenhof, known for its hundreds of thousands of flowering tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and other bulbous plants. The world-famous flower auction of Aalsmeer is also on the programme. An astonishing amount of flowers are traded here daily and exported all over the world. One of the nights the ship will dock at the open air museum ‘de Zaanse Schans’ with its windmills, cheese farm and picturesque wooden houses. Be surprised by the beautiful, varied landscape of this part of the Netherlands. The ship – your floating hotel In between cycling, you will sail along on the ship, which sails to a new destination every day. You will dine, sleep and have breakfast on board. Every day you will receive a packed lunch and you can choose between a longer or shorter bike ride. Sailing along for a day is also possible. There are rental bikes on board, but you can also bring your own bike (not possible on Fleur & Claire d’Etoile (formerly Zwaantje)) . Tour guide Under the guidance of an experienced tour guide, you will visit interesting places and sights together with the group during the daily bike rides. During the bike ride you will hear everything about what you encounter along the way.
